About
I am Systems Neuroscientist and physicist, currently an ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Sydney. I am interested in how the brain's multiscale neural activity processes information, applying techniques from statistical mechanics, dynamical systems, information theory, and biophysical modelling, combining theory with large-scale data to advance neuroscience.
What's a fun fact about you?
I still driving the commodore V5 (one piston retired) that I learned to drive in, it's now old enough to legally buy a drink in the USA
Projects
Multiscale Brain Organisation
Investigates how neural systems organize across multiple scales, from local circuits to global network dynamics. This project integrates computational models with empirical neurobiological data to understand principles of brain organization.
Thalamocortical Selection
Examines the mechanisms of selective attention through the lens of thalamocortical circuitry. Explores how the thalamus gates information flow to cortex and mediates competitive selection between behavioral alternatives.
Cross-species Neurodynamics
Compares neural dynamics and circuit organization across species to identify conserved and divergent principles of brain function. Uses comparative analysis to understand fundamental constraints on neural computation.
