About

I'm a theoretical neuroscientist working at the intersection of neurobiology, psychology, and applied mathematics using tools from nonlinear dynamics and machine learning to build and analyse neurobiologically informed models of elemental cognitive and biological functions such as decision making, perceptual awareness, and the global state of consciousness (e.g. wake, sleep, anaesthesia).

What's a fun fact about you?

I have chosen scissors in every game of rock paper scissors since 2012.

Projects

Thalamocortical Selection

Examines the mechanisms of selective attention through the lens of thalamocortical circuitry. Explores how the thalamus gates information flow to cortex and mediates competitive selection between behavioral alternatives.
